This 12 Gauge trap and sporting clays shotshell by Fiocchi looks a little different than what many shooters are accustomed to. That’s because it has a paper hull instead of a plastic one! It’s very thick and tough paper, to be sure, and impregnated with wato keep water safely away from its powder.
A paper hull does more than make this shell look old-fashioned. It’s biodegradable, so it breaks down quicker in landfills. It also produces a little less felt recoil as it absorbs more shock during ignition, which can help to prevent fatigue during a busy day at the range.
This Paper Crusher shell is loaded with an even ounce Fiocchi’s #7.5 lead shot. In conjunction with its high-performance wad it serves up a tight pattern, and thanks to its fast 1,300 fps muzzle velocity you won’t have to do very much mental math as you’re leading your aim on a moving clay.
Fiocchi’s primer and powder are both formulated to decelerate barrel fouling. And although its dark blue hull is made out of paper, it is still reloadable!
