12 Gauge – 2-3/4″ 7/8oz. #8 Shot – Rio Star Team Evo Training – 250 Rounds

Description

Sometimes you don’t want a big, thunderous shotshell when you’re ruining stacks of clay at the range. A lighter load, which won’t pound your shoulder with very much recoil at all, can do the trick just fine.

This 12 Gauge shotshell from Rio’s Star Team Evo Training line of ammunition is loaded with a mere 7/8 ounces of shot, to a muzzle velocity of 1,200 fps. It’s not anemic by any standard, but with 1/4 ounces less shot than the usual trap and skeet load it’s poised to deliver noticeably less kick. Think of it as a 20 Gauge’s payload in a 12 Gauge’s body. Perfect for cranking out rapid-fire shots with pinpoint accuracy, as well as smaller and younger shooters whose bodies lack the bulk to soak up a lot of recoil energy.

Rio’s one of the biggest shotshell manufacturers on the face of the earth, and part of a megacorporation which specializes in explosives technology. They make a consistent shell with high-quality target-grade #8 shot, a super reliable primer to spark up its fast-burning powder, and a wad designed to enhance pattern efficiency for more accurate shooting.
