Description
Federal’s Speed-Shok line of ammunition has long enjoyed a reputation as the “go-to” for waterfowl hunters. This 12 Gauge ammo hits that perfect sweet spot for hunting ducks over decoys!
Steel isn’t as dense as lead, but you can’t go blasting toxic metal all over the wetlands or the government is going to . But Federal compensates for steel’s shortcoming in two important ways. First, this shell is long at 3”, so it has the space to store a traditional 1-1/8 ounce load of #3 shot. Second, this shell’s loaded to an amped up 1,550 fps muzzle velocity, which lets steel shot retain ample energy for knocking quackers out of the sky.
Federal uses high quality components wherever they can. This American-made shell is loaded with uniform shot pellets that provide consistent ballistics, as well as a good wad that efficiently seals the barrel upon ignition. Federal’s high-performance primer and fast-burning propellant see to steady muzzle velocities, and their hulls are good for handloaders.
