This 12 Gauge shell is 3” long to hold a massive 1-3/4 ounces of #4 lead shot. Turkey don’t really like getting close to people, which is why a Grand Slam shell has three key features that keep its pattern tight over longer distances. First is its copper-plated shot, which is extremely hard and resists flat spotting during ignition. Second is its granulated buffering material, which absorbs shock and is held neatly in place by a clear card wad. Third is its FliteControl Flewad, which erects fins following expulsion from the muzzle to guarantee fast, clean separation from the shot column.
