Description
The odds of you hitting a grand slam in a major league game grow slimmer with every passing day. But don’t sweat it – Grand Slam ammunition is always available to turkey hunters, and we owe it all to Federal Premium of Minnesota!
This gobbler busting 12 Gauge shell is long at 3”, packed with a generous 1-3/4 ounce portion of #5 shot, and loaded to a supersonic muzzle velocity of 1,200 fps. Its shot is copper-plated, which makes it nearly impervious to deformation as it rockets down the barrel and smashes deep into a turkey’s vital area. Such hard shot patterns even tighter thanks to the shock-absorbing advanced buffering material Federal includes in the column.
Grand Slam shotshells also feature Federal’s FliteControl Flewad. The high-tech wad protrudes multiple stabilizing petals around its base upon exiting the muzzle, which help produce an even denser pattern. The FliteControl Flex’s side vents enable clean detachment, and its design is compatible with either ported or standard turkey chokes.
Copper-plated shot and the FliteControl Flework together even better with to Federal’s fast-burning, low residue powder, which is ignited by an intensely reliable primer. Federal even donates a portion of their profits from their Grand Slam label to the National Wild Turkey Federation, which is dedicated to preserving the great American game bird’s natural habitat.
