Description
The 16 Gauge shotgun is enjoying something of a renaissance these days, but it’s never going to become quite as big a deal as it was back in the ‘50s. One quarter of shotguns sold back then were 16 Gauge! But thanks to Remington, you can always get the goods you need to hunt upland game like a pro with your 16.
Remington’s Express Extra Long Range line of ammunition is engineered to give you the reach it takes to anchor the most elusive game. This shell’s charge of #6 shot equips it perfectly for rabbit and squirrel, and once it passes through the right choke it’s certain to ground any pheasant as well. Remington makes certain their Express XLR shell lives up to its name by filling it with high-quality shot, each pellet having been cast from resilient lead and screened several times so it can fly straight and pattern in a tight cluster.
This shell’s 1-1/8 ounces of shot contains over 253 pellets. Loaded to a muzzle velocity of 1,295 fps, it’s a formidable force out in the field. Big Green’s ribbed hull holds up under the pressure of a hectic bird hunt, and their primers fire up fast to do their job right.
